ritual ("we", "us", "our") is a meal prep and food storage tracking service operated as a personal project. For privacy enquiries, contact us at the email address provided in the app or on our website.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: your email address and display name, provided when you sign up.
• Household data: food items, batch quantities, expiry dates, storage locations, photos, nutrition information, and consumption logs that you and your household members enter.
• Device data: FCM push notification tokens (to deliver alerts to your device). We do not collect device identifiers beyond what Firebase requires.
• Usage data: basic Firebase Analytics events (screen views, feature usage) to improve the app. No advertising profiles are built.

• To provide and operate the ritual service
• To send push notifications you have opted into
• To process subscription payments via Stripe (payment data is handled by Stripe and never stored by us)
• To improve the service through aggregate, anonymised usage analytics

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following sub-processors: Google Firebase (database, authentication, cloud functions, analytics — hosted in Asia Southeast region), Stripe (payment processing). Both are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

When you join a household, other members of that household can see the food items, logs, and activity you add. The household admin can remove members. Choose who you share your invite code with carefully.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Manage → Account, which permanently removes all your personal data and household contributions within 30 days.

Households where no member has logged in for 2 years are considered dormant. We will send a warning email 30 days before deletion. If no member logs in within that period, the household and all associated data will be permanently deleted. You can prevent this at any time by logging in.

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for the use of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us directly. We will respond within 30 days.

We use browser local storage to remember your selected household and app preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

ritual is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.

By creating an account or using ritual, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

ritual is a household food tracking web application. We provide it on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee continuous availability or that the service will be free from errors.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login with others — use the household invite system instead. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

ritual offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier. Free tier limits (including maximum active batches and household members) are subject to change with reasonable notice. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the service
• Share your account credentials or invite codes publicly
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes third-party rights

You retain ownership of the data you enter into ritual. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you.

ritual is a tracking tool only. It does not provide food safety advice. Expiry dates and "consume within" values are entered by you and are your responsibility. We are not liable for any illness or harm resulting from the consumption of food tracked in the app. Always use your own judgement when assessing whether food is safe to eat.

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, ritual is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Households inactive for 2 or more years (no member login) will receive a 30-day warning email before permanent deletion. Logging in at any time resets the inactivity clock.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
